Fryers

We associate French fries with fast food bars that came to Polish from the United States. However, not everyone knows that the long-fried potatoes in deep oil, which we all like so much, were born in Europe. Legend has it that the first chips were prepared in Belgium, where small fish fried in deep oil were a delicacy for which one city was famous, but when the river froze for the winter, in the same way it was decided to prepare potatoes. The dish tasted greatly to the British, who made it famous all over the world (famous fish & chips).

Products of a well-known manufacturer – Camry

Although french fries could once have been a symbol of Western abundance, today they are no longer unusual. We can order them in almost every bar or restaurant, they are perfect as additions to more serious dishes, as well as independent snacks. Nothing stands in the way of preparing them with your own hands at home – a small fryer will fully satisfy our private needs. The fries themselves – packed in packages of different sizes and frozen – are available in every second store, we can choose between ordinary fries, corrugated and screwed. We can also cut the potatoes into shapes that suit us and throw them into a Camry fryer – remember, however, that they should be of similar size, otherwise smaller pieces will burn in hot oil, and larger ones will be raw.

What if I don't like potatoes?

A home fryer can also be useful for those who are not lovers of crispy potatoes. With its help, you can prepare cutlets, onion rings, thalers, chicken pieces in a crispy coating. However, it is worth trying to use the deep fryer according to its basic purpose, homemade potato fries taste completely different from frozen or bought in restaurants. If the problem is the taste, it is worth experimenting with additives – the two most popular in Poland are, of course, salt and ketchup, some like to add a bit of sharpness (pepper, hot pepper) or – like the inhabitants of the Netherlands – eat this dish with mayonnaise. Blanching before throwing chopped potatoes into hot oil will make them softer on the inside and crispier on the outside.
