Yamato (jap. ) battleship built during World War II serving in the Japanese Imperial Navy. It was the first ship of the Yamato type, which together with its twin Musashi were the largest battleships ever built. The main idea of building such powerful warships was an arms race with the USA, which dominated the Pacific. Construction of the Yamato began in 1937 and it entered service on 16 December 1941, a week after the attack on Pearl Harbor. The ship was armed with, among other things, nine monstrous 460mm calibre guns. It had an overall length of 263 metres, a breadth of 38.9 metres, a draft of 11 metres and a displacement of 65,000 tonnes. It reached a top speed of 27 knots (50 km/h). Nearly 2,500 people served on the ship. It was sunk in a major battle on 7 April 1945 by American torpedo planes and bombers.

The battleship Yamato is a huge model made of COBI building bricks. Like other warships, it was designed in the model scale 1:300. The latest edition even more faithfully reproduces even the smallest details and details of its historical original. After assembling 2665 elements, the battleship is 90 cm (30.4) long and 19.5 cm (7.7) high. It has many movable elements, such as: deck guns and anti-aircraft batteries, rotating artillery towers, rudder and propellers. The set comes with a special display stand with a plate on which the name of the ship is printed. A beautiful addition is a unique block imitating the Golden Orchid, the imperial symbol that decorated the prow of the ship. The model is ideal for all lovers of history, militarism, naval science and military technology. It presents itself superbly, arousing admiration and interest! Thanks to the intuitive instructions based on clear icons the construction is easy and does not cause any difficulties. The estimated time of building the model is about 8 hours, during which we build history!
