Therefore, in order to connect the antenna with the coaxial cable while maintaining the fit (using devices with the same impedance in the entire system), an intermediate element, i.e. a balun, should be used. A balun is a passive device that uses a transformer to change impedance and transition from symmetrical to unsymmetrical lines.
