Coating thickness gauge Leptoscope®
Design: universal layer thickness measuring instrument with external probe, precise measuring technology and the ability to quickly expand the device on site using activation codes (software mode "Statistics" and "Data memory"). Large backlit graphic display (48 x 24 mm), large selection of probes. Measuring range 0–20000 μm (probe dependent), 10 languages, USB/RS 232 interface and protective rubber frame. Battery life approx. 100 hours. Delivery with Fe probe up to 5000 μm, control body, calibration film set, instruction manual, acceptance protocol/quality control certificate, measurement protocol, literature and 2 AA/LR06 batteries, 1.5 V, in a plastic case.
Measurement uncertainty (after calibration):
Layer thickness < 100 μm: 1 % of measured value ± 1 μm
> layer thickness 100 μm: 1-3 % of measured value ± 1 μm
> layer thickness 1000 μm: 3-5 % of measured value ± 10 μm
> layer thickness 10000 μm: 5 % of measured value ± 100 μm
Application: determines the thickness of non-magnetic layers on magnetizable primers (ferrous metals, according to DIN EN ISO 2178) and the thickness of non-conductive coatings on eddy current conductive primers (non-ferrous metals, according to DIN EN ISO 2360).
