High transparency and chemical resistance

Filament Premium PET-G

Filament Spectrum Premium PETG is a material based on Poly(ethylene terephthalate) subjected to the glycokolation process. Elements manufactured with the use of this material are characterized by a large proportion of crystalline phase, which makes it possible to achieve an effect close to transparency with a small number of external outlines, incrementally produced elements. A very important advantage of PETG is virtually zero shrinkage coefficient and low moisture absorption compared to other thermoplastics used in FDM/FFF 3D printing.

Other properties of Spectrum PETG include good creep resistance under constant load. This is possible thanks to the connection between the layers of the applied material. This results in a much lower anisotropy of mechanical properties in the manufactured elements. This means that the mechanical properties differ less in the different directions of manufacture compared to other thermoplastics intended for 3D printing. Components made of PETG maintain stability of properties for a long period of operation.

Key features:
· very good mechanical properties in terms of rigidity, hardness and impact resistance
· chemically resistant
· high dimensional accuracy
· combines the advantages of PLA and ABS
· hydrophobic
· odorless
· High transparency compared to other additive manufacturing materials
· very durable and flexible

Use:
· visual and functional prototyping
· Fit tests
· Concept models
· Production Tooling
· production of translucent enclosures and illuminated sections of various boards and signs

Mechanical properties combined with the chemical resistance of PET-G determine the use of this material for the production of elements with relatively high dimensional accuracy and stability of both shape and mechanical properties. These include gears and plain bearings subjected to relatively high static loads in an aqueous environment.

In addition, elements in the form of semi-transparent housings and illuminated parts of various types of boards and signboards are produced from PET-G.
