The first Warszawa M-20 rolled off the assembly line on November 6, 1951 at 2:00 p.m. Initial plans assumed production at the level of 25,000 units per year, but only 75 units were produced by the end of 1951. Export also began in 1954. Initially, the car was sent to China, Romania, Albania and Bulgaria. Based on components dedicated to Warszawa, delivery vehicles were also constructed: Żuk, Nysa and Tarpan.
