Basic gauges for measuring the thickness of paint on automotive steel sheets. They have the MEASUREMENT ASSISTANT® function with LED and a housing with modern, streamlined shapes.
The LED MEASUREMENT® ASSISTANT function prompts the car evaluator whether it has had body and paint repairs.
When the function is activated, the meter indicates by means of an LED about the status of the tinsmith:
– the LED is not lit – the varnish is correct;
– diode pulsating – second layer of varnish;
– the LED lights up continuously – putty or more layers of varnish;
It should be noted that the ASSISTANT function is only to help in the interpretation of measurements, it can not be the basis for an unambiguous answer to the question whether the car had body and paint repairs. Nevertheless, many people who evaluate cars do not really know what a given paint thickness means, which is why the above function is to help with this.
