Baby facing the wearer in a narrow seat This is the correct position until the baby can independently hold their head upright. It allows for close physical contact and attention while keeping the wearers hands free. In this position, you can interact with the baby through touch, play, or eye contact.
Baby facing the wearer in a wide seat The wide seat allows for carrying larger babies in a seated position with their legs wrapped around the wearer.
Baby facing outward in a narrow seat This position allows the baby to visually explore the surroundings while staying in close contact with the caregiver. A wide seat should never be used when carrying the baby in an outward-facing position.
Baby on the wearers back Suitable for babies who can sit up completely independently. In this position, the baby can observe the surroundings while still knowing that the caregiver is nearby.
Supports carrying the baby in the ergonomic "M-position" (frog position) recommended by the International Hip Dysplasia Institute the babys legs are spread around the wearers waist, with hips bent so that the knees are slightly higher, and the buttocks and thighs are supported.
