Brass: Birmingham (Polish Edition)
Step into the era of the English Industrial Revolution and take on the role of an entrepreneur competing for market dominance in Birmingham and the West Midlands region. Expand your industrial empire by building canals and railways, and by establishing and upgrading various businesses: cotton mills, coal mines, ironworks, manufactories, pottery kilns, and breweries.
Brass: Birmingham is a complex, multifaceted economic game that continues the legacy begun by Martin Wallaces bestselling Brass: Lancashire.
How Does It Work?
Gameplay in Brass: Birmingham is divided into two distinct periods: the Canal Era (17701830) and the Railway Era (18301870).
- Each era consists of 810 rounds, depending on the number of players.
- During each round, players take turns in the order determined by the player track.
- On their turn, each player performs two selected actions. These include building and upgrading industrial establishments, expanding the rail network, selling goods, taking loans, or exchanging cards.
- The winner is the player who scores the most victory points at the end of the second era. Points are awarded for connection tiles and flipped industry tiles.
Why Will You Love This Game?
- Brass: Birmingham is a treat for fans of planning and developing intricate strategies. Every decision you make has a direct impact on your results and future options.
- While the rules are easy to grasp, the depth lies in the crucial decisions and abundance of possibilities. This makes the game a fascinating intellectual challenge that rewards calculated strategy and ruthless competition.
- Compared to its predecessor, Brass: Lancashire, this edition introduces new types of industrial establishments (breweries, manufactories, and pottery kilns) and adds a sixth action allowing players to exchange cards from their hand.
