Mechanical edge sensor. Facilitates the operation of accurately positioning the spindle of the machine tool in relation to the workpiece or to the table of the milling machine or drilling machine.
The sensor is embedded in the tool holder. When rotating, the freely embedded contact vertex touches the edges of the object, thus establishing their mutual distance.
