Precision collet GERC 16 – ER system
Material: ISO 15488-B (formerly DIN 6499). These collets set the standard for precision in standard collet holders. The fine finishing version with a roughness of up < 1.6 μm guarantees increased contact surface, rigidity and clamping forces, as well as reduced radial run-out. All of them are protected against corrosion thanks to the new FAHRION Protect coating.
• Precision – radial runout tolerance and repeatability accuracy 5 μm.
• Stability – only 12 notches are sufficient to achieve the required ability to compensate for diameter deviations from the nominal dimension according to DIN ISO 15488-B. Compared to collets with 16 notches, our collets have a much lower tendency to jam in the lower clamping range.
• Protection – all longitudinal edges are not only deburred, but also additionally rounded, which protects the inner cone of the fixture for collets from possible scratches. This is a prerequisite for ensuring a consistently low radial runout.
Application: for clamping cylindrical shank tools according to DIN 1835 B, 1835 E, 6535 B and 6535 E.
Note: the ability to compensate for deviations of diameter from the nominal dimension is 1 mm (below the diameter of 2,0 mm = 0,5 mm). The largest diameter is always given, i.e. a shank with a diameter of 15 mm is attached to a diameter of 16 mm (description e.g. GERC 32 F 470 E16).
