AQUA Ring ceiling motion detector
AQUA Ring is a digital passive infrared motion detector in an oval housing, designed for ceiling mounting. It is ideal for areas where wall mounting is difficult or even impossible, such as rooms with fully glazed walls or display windows. It can also be used in a room with a large surface area, as its design allows it to protect a large area. The AQUA Ring is equipped with a quadruple pyroelement and a digital motion detection algorithm. Thanks to the dual PIR signal analysis (value and quantity) and the temperature compensation algorithm, the detector is characterised by reliable operation in a wide range of ambient temperatures and high sensitivity and immunity to interference. The three-stage sensitivity adjustment allows the operating characteristics of the device to be adapted to the requirements of the user and the protected object. The detector has a tamper contact to protect against the opening of the housing. The device complies with the Grade 2 requirements of EN 50131.
The detector's primary task is the detection of a breach in the protected area. However, it can also be used for building automation functions. When the alarm system is not activated, the detector can control, for example, the switching on of lights and the opening or closing of doors.
