Buried Secrets is a major expansion pack for Aeons End, Aeons End; Legacy and Aeons End: Eternal War. In the box you will find more than 150 cards, including new Gems, Artefacts, Modifiers, Spells and Nemesis cards, as well as innovative Impulse, Silence and Shield tokens that will significantly change the face of gameplay, revealing further possibilities for Aeons End. Depending on the base game, you will either introduce previously unknown mechanics to the gameplay (Aeons End, Aeons End: Eternal War) or explore those already known (Aeons End: Legacy).
An unholy game
Buried secrets are buried for a specific reason no one should dig them up. But when the enemy uses any method to destroy us, one must return the favour. Gravehold is once again under threat and this time there is no room for half-measures.
You are more powerful
In Buried Secrets, you will use a previously unknown 45 Spell cards, utilise 25 Artefact cards and strengthen yourself with 56 Gem cards. By playing Psychic Explosion, you will deal as much damage to the enemy as there are discarded cards in any player's stack. On the other hand, by using Shard of the Past, you will receive 3 charges of ether, and if there are at least 7 cards in your discard pile then up to 4 charges.
But so will your enemies
In the expansion you will come face to face with 9 new Supporters. Some of them enter the game with Shield tokens on their cards. When such a Supporter is attacked, remove 1 Shield token from his card regardless of the damage dealt. And if you want to make life even more difficult, shuffle a new Flash card into the Nemesis turn deck. When this card is selected, consider the main phase of the Nemesis turn, and then consider the entire Nemesis turn as normal.
Impulses and Silences
In Buried Secrets, you will silence enemy Supporters and benefit from the power of powerful Impulses. When the effect of a spell silences a Supporters, place a Silence token on it. During the Nemesis' next turn, you will ignore the SUSTAINING effect of that Supporter. Impulses, on the other hand, will be used by some Mages to enhance their actions. A player may not have more than 5 Impulses at any one time. Impulse tokens carry over from turn to turn.
