Purpose / Application
The vacuum packaging machine is used for vacuum packaging of food products in special bags. Thanks to such packaging, food retains its freshness and nutritional value longer.

Food Vacuum Packaging Tips
- The best results can be achieved with vacuum packaging of fresh food.
If food quality deteriorates, vacuum packaging can delay this process, but it will never stop it. Anaerobic bacteria and microorganisms that may operate in a low-oxygen environment continue to degrade food quality.
- Cooking, thawing and heating vacuum-packed food in water preserves the taste of food and makes it easier to maintain cleanliness.
- When heating dishes vacuum-packed using a microwave oven, always punch the bag in several places, which will allow the hot air to escape.
- Vacuum-packed food can be heated by immersion and heating in warm water, the water temperature must not exceed 75 ° .C.

For packing meat and fish, it is recommended to first put the food for 1-2 hours in the freezer. This will allow you to bind the juices naturally present in the food, and will also allow you to preserve its shape. If it is not possible to pre-cool the food, it is recommended to place a loosely rolled paper towel between the food and the edge of the bag to be welded.
The towel will absorb the juices that will come out of the food during the suction of air.

In the case of cheese packaging, it is recommended to pack the remaining cheese after each use. If a sufficiently large bag is used, it can be used again, after cutting off the weld.

Before vacuum packing vegetables, it is recommended to blanch them. Blanching will stop the action of enzymes, which can lead to a loss of taste, color and structure. To blanch vegetables, immerse them for several dozen seconds in boiling water, then remove and immerse in cold water. The blanching time depends on the type of vegetable. The finer and more tender the vegetables, the shorter the blanching time. Blanching can also be carried out using a microwave oven or steam.

Fine products are recommended to be vacuum-packed in their original packaging. It will prevent product particles from entering the packaging machine along with the extracted air inside the packaging machine, which may even prevent proper vacuum packaging.

Before vacuum packaging food in a liquid state, e.g. soups, they should be frozen in a separate dish, the shape and size of which should be selected so that the frozen product fits in the bag. After freezing, the product should be removed from the dish put in a bag, vacuum packed, and then put back in the freezer. Vacuum-packed food can be heated by immersion and heating it in warm water, the water temperature must not exceed 75 ° .C.
How to use
Vacuum packaging

- Lift the cover of the device. If the lid is closed with a latch, press both lock buttons at the same time, unlock the lid, and then lift it. Inside the device there is a safety switch that will allow you to start the device only after the lid is closed correctly. It should not be pressed with the lid open, it is forbidden to lock the safety switch.
- Prepare the bag for use in the packer. Only special bags should be used, intended only for use in vacuum packers. We recommend LUND knurled bags with index number 67888. The bag can be cut by matching its size to the packaged product. Remember that all but one of the edges of the bag should always be welded, and the trimmed edge should be even and not wider than the maximum width of the bags listed in the table. When choosing a size, you need to make sure that at least 5 cm of the bag remains from its edge to the packaged product.
- Place the bag so that it is above the heating strip and its edge to be welded is completely inside the lid gasket. The packaging machine chamber is equipped with retaining plates that facilitate the proper positioning of the bag. The edge of the bag should touch the thrust plate. Align both walls of the bag so that no kinks, bends or wrinkles form.
- Close the lid and make sure the latch works. The lid cannot be lifted freely.
- Connect the device to the power supply. The indicator light will light up.
- Press the "Packing" button, this will start the process of suctioning air, and after its completion, weld the edges of the bag. This indicates that the indicator light located under the button is lit.
- After completing the packaging process, the device will automatically stop the air extraction process, which will be signaled by turning off the indicator light under the button. You should then disconnect the device from the power supply, unlock the latches of the cover by pressing both buttons of the latches. Lift the lid and remove the bag with the packaged product.

If it is necessary to interrupt it during the packaging process, press the "Stop" button.

If during packaging an undesirable deformation of the packaged product is observed or the liquids present in the product begin to be sucked in by the packaging machine, press the "Welding" button, this will stop the air suction process and start welding the edges of the bag.
For packaging delicate products, it is recommended to use the "Impulse" button. Pressing it once only temporarily starts the packaging machine and sucks out a small amount of air. Pressing and holding the button will cause continuous operation, but releasing the pressure immediately interrupts the air suction. This allows you to choose the degree of air suction in the case of delicate products.
After the suction is completed in pulse mode, you need to weld the bag by pressing the "Welding" button. The indicator light will light up and turn off when the welding is complete. You should then disconnect the device from the power supply, unlock the latches of the cover by pressing both buttons of the latches. Lift the lid and remove the bag with the packaged product.

Welding bags from the roll
Bags intended for vacuum packaging may be in the form of a long sleeve wound on a roll, where only two edges of the bags are welded. In this case, you should:
- cut off the bag of the desired size
- place one edge in the packaging machine chamber in the same way as in vacuum packaging
- close the lid and make sure that the lid latch works can not be lifted freely
- connect the device to the power supply will light up the indicator light
- press the "Welding" button, the indicator light will light up, which will turn off when welding is completed
- disconnect the device from the power supply, unlock the lid latches by pressing both buttons of the latches
- lift the lid and remove the bag with the welded edge

Vacuum packaging in containers
The packaging machine has the ability to vacuum pack containers. The container should be connected to the external connector with a hose. In order to prepare the container for vacuum packaging, you should be guided by the information provided with the container.
Remark! The packaging machine is not equipped with a hose and containers, the outer port has an internal diameter of 5.5 mm. Make sure that the hose connector matches the packaging machine connector.

- Close the lid and make sure the latch works. The lid cannot be lifted freely.
- Connect the device to the power supply. The indicator light will light up.
- Press the "Packing" button, this will start the air suction process. This indicates that the indicator light located under the button is lit.
- After completing the packaging process, the device will automatically stop the air suction process, which will be signaled by turning off the indicator light under the button.
- Close the valve of the container, which will not allow air to enter it when disconnected from the packaging machine.
- Disconnect the device from the power supply, unlock the lid latches by pressing both buttons of the latches.
- Disconnect the hose from the external connector and container. It is recommended to leave at least 2.5 cm of free space between the lid of the container and the product packed in it. Make sure that the gasket between the container and its lid is clean and undamaged. Otherwise, air may enter the container or vacuum packaging will not be possible at all.
