What types of welding machines are available?
There are two main groups of welding machines; inverter and transformer. Here we take care of inverter welder because first; they work great with lower quality electrodes, secondly, they are less sensitive to voltage spikes, and thirdly, they are more durable and they fail much less frequently. Inverter welding machines are additionally divided into three main groups, Mig-Mag inverter welders , MMA inverter welders and TIG inverter welding machines . On this site we sell a great and proven MMA inverter welder. Ideal for welding materials such as carbon, cast iron or structural steels.
Buy the 280A IGBT PM-MMA-280SM Powermat inverter welder and you will be satisfied
Model of the PM-MMA-280SM welding machine is an inverter welder with a construction based on efficient IGBT transistors. It is equipped with an LCD display that indicates the current one welding current . The welding current can be set with a smoothly regulated knob. IGBT transistor combines the advantages of two types of transistors; Ease of control of field effect transistors and high breakdown voltage and switching speed of bipolar transistors.
The Powermat welder has the following functions:
HOT START
- works when the arc is struck and is designed to prevent the electrode from sticking to the material.
ANTI STICK
- cuts off / minimizes welding voltage and current in the event of a short circuit between the electrode and the material to be welded.
ARC FORCE
- stabilizes the bow regardless of its length. Regulates the dynamics of the welding arc. At the highest value for the ARC FORCE function, it is possible to "push the electrode into the pool of molten metal and burn the material through. (In this model, the ARC FORCE function is automatically adjusted)
TURBO FAN
- fan cooling the electronic systems and other components (also a thermal sensor protecting the device against overheating). Such a large fan in a small housing of the welder increases the air flow, and this lowers the temperature of the transistors.

The device's efficiency is as high as 60%. Welder electrocution from 20 to 280A and allows welding with an electrode with a diameter of 1.6mm to 4mm. Electrode welding 1.6mm is possible when using a 16A class C slow-blow fuse. Operation with a maximum current of 280A requires a protection of at least 20A.

The PM-MMA-280SM welder has standard, EURO copper connectors for welding cables, which facilitates the selection of additional replacement welding cables. The weight of this welder is only 2.8 kg and this, combined with a carrying strap, makes it easy and comfortable to use this tool.
