The Edimax GS-1016 is a layer two switch. It is equipped with 16 10/100/1000Mbps network sockets allowing you to connect multiple computers located in the local network via an Ethernet cable. The eco-friendly GS-1026 is 802.3az compliant and features next-generation power consumption reduction and lower operating costs. The switch detects an inactive link. If the device is turned off or an inactive link is detected, the switch automatically adjusts power consumption, reducing power consumption. Thanks to this, the power consumption of the switch depends on the status of the links and the number of active devices. The switch can also automatically detect the length of the Ethernet cable and adjust the power consumption accordingly. The shorter the cable, the less energy it consumes.
