Our walls are often decorated with pictures or fill hanging cabinets. We don't know the day or time when we want to hang something on the wall or hang it from the ceiling. It is worth making sure that the suspended object remains in its place, and that it is not smashed and destroyed by the destructive force of gravity on the ground. To avoid such a scenario, it is worth using wall plugs, which, thanks to their properties, will strengthen each handle on which we decide to hang something.

Products of the well-known manufacturer MAG-KRAK

Wall plugs are most often made of plastic (polyamide 6.6 [nylon] or propylene-ethylene copolymer) or metal. They are placed in a previously drilled hole in the wall, and as the bolt or screw is screwed in, the surface of the plug increases, which precisely fills the entire hole and stabilizes itself. The type of wall plugs that should be used depends on the material of the wall on which you intend to hang something and the weight of the suspended object. Metal expansion bolts differ in diameter and length. Plastic expansion screw brand MAG-KRAK they are resistant to external factors (rust, rotting), they are durable (they are not afraid of stretching and compression), they have damping properties and are good current insulators.

Types of MAG-KRAK expansion plugs

As we mentioned in the previous paragraph, we distinguish between several types of expansion bolts, including:

  • Standard wall plugs (longitudinally cut walls make the plug expand only in two planes - up and down),
  • Quick-assembly expansion bolts with a funnel (which are inserted into the drilled hole with the bolt partially fixed in the funnel. These bolts are recommended for the assembly of light components),
  • Wall plugs for suspended ceilings (the purpose of which is consistent with the name, and crowned with a curved hook on which we can hang a lamp or a chandelier),
  • Metal expansion bolts are used to hang heavy objects on the walls - some types of steel allow assembly with a hammer, without the need to drill a hole in the wall.
