Gasket Tightness Tester under the Head for Measuring CO2 Content in the Cooling System The tester was created to eliminate the suspicion of damage to the head gasket and the head itself in internal combustion vehicles with gasoline, diesel and LPG engines cooled by liquid. In the event that the gasket is leaking and CO2 enters the cooling system, the reaction fluid turns yellow or green. The principle of operation of the instrument is based on the measurement of CO2 concentration - in the case of increased concentration, the reaction fluid reacts with CO2 and changes its color. The kit includes: CO2 reaction fluid 10ml (enough for 5 tests) Conical universal adapter 25mm-55mm Measuring tube Black measuring adapter (25mm-55mm) gives you the opportunity to check 6 times more different coolant infusion diameters than in testers with one white adapter. It allows you to check m.in cars, trucks, tractor units, excavators, motorcycles, forklifts. The adapter is made of a special mixture of rubber resistant to high temperatures and sufficiently soft - thanks to which it tightly adapts to the filler and the tester tube, guaranteeing 100% tightness during the test. Test instructions: Fill the instrument with reaction fluid to the level between the chambers (approx. 2ml). Connect the tester to the opening of the expansion tank or cooler. Start the engine, enter the increased speed in order to obtain a higher combustion pressure. Leave the motor at slightly elevated speed and observe the behavior of the reaction fluid A change in the color of the reaction fluid to yellow or green within a few minutes of the test indicates a damaged gasket under the head or damage to the head itself. After the tests, carefully disassemble the instrument. Test results: Change of color from blue to green in the diesel engine - indicates damage to the head gasket or the head itself. Changing the color from blue to yellow in a gasoline / LPG engine - means damage to the head gasket or the head itself. Reaction fluid blue - No CO2 was detected in the system. Safety information: When conducting the test on the radiator reservoir, it is mandatory to take extra care when unscrewing the cap on a warm engine and during the test itself - the risk of burns! During the test, do not allow the coolant to mix with the reaction fluid - The test may be incorrect! Protect from children, wash your hands thoroughly after the test!
