The continuous development of ceramic materials is a unique challenge for today's ceramic tile fixers.

With the spread of gres as a popular ceramic material, the hardness of tiles has become one of the basic problems of contractors. Currently, in parallel with the implementation of new production processes, the use of porcelain tiles as the most basic and the increasing availability of large-format tiles and large-area quartz sinters, the concept of the so-called difficulty of breaking tiles has become crucial. This difficulty consists of a combination of 4 characteristics: hardness, thickness, surface finish and internal stresses in the material. For cutting materials with the greatest difficulty, RUBI offers the range of cutting knives in the EXTREME series.


The wheels in the EXTREME cutting knives are made of cemented carbide of the highest quality, specially coated with a layer of titanium carbide. This makes the RUBI EXTREME scoring wheels more resistant to surface abrasion during use. In addition, EXTREME scoring wheels are mounted on a bearing that completely eliminates friction between the wheel and the axle on which it is mounted. This combination translates into the smoothest operation of the EXTREME cutting wheel, definitely better than the others, and the life of the knife is 300% compared to the SILVER series cutting knives (under the same conditions of use).

The EXTREME range of cutting knives has been specially designed and is recommended for cutting in ceramic materials with a very uneven and structural surface. The EXTREME cutting knives with a 10 mm diameter mandrel work on RUBI cutters of the TS-MAX, TR-MAGNET, HIT-N and SPEED-MAGNET series, those with a 12 mm mandrel on the TZ and TX-MAX models.
