The Zenmuse X7 is a compact Super 35 camera with an integrated gimbal made for high-end movies that delivers stunning resolution and image quality. Its compatibility with the Inspire 2 offers the best quality at the highest operator level. The 24-megapixel CMOS sensor with 14-step dynamics retains astonishing details and offers both 6K CinemaDNG and 5.2K Apple ProRes with support for continuous continuous shooting at 20 fps and 24 frames per second.
The X7 also introduces DL-Mount, the world's first integrated lens mount that allows you to quickly switch between four available lenses.
For seamless editing, the new DJI Cinema Color system preserves accurate colors for easy processing. These latest innovations allow filmmakers to reach new heights and capture scenes as they imagined them in the Zenmuse X7.
The X7 uses a Super 35 sensor and its high read speed supports RAW at 6K/30fps and 3.9K/59.94fps. The pixel size reaches 3.91 μm and the diagonal length of the sensor is 26.6 mm during recording. A sensor of this size offers higher light sensitivity and 14 stops of dynamic range - much wider than the 12.8 degrees in the Zenmuse X5S. What's more, the SNR in the X7 is 46 dB, 8 dB higher than the X5S, and the dynamic range is 9.41 bits. All of these features offer endless creative possibilities for a better workflow in the most demanding on-set situations.
Using the new FSI-Cu technology, the X7 sensor has a thinner connection, allowing light to reach the detection area with a larger angle of incidence for increased light sensitivity. This allows for a tighter n lens mount while maintaining excellent image quality. The focusing distance of the flange in the DL chuck is less than 17 mm - about 1/3 of the size of the PL chuck. This compact mount means that the X7 weighs only about 630g with the included lens. Together, the X7 and Inspire 2 weigh just 4kg, with the ability to take the same challenging shots as the more rugged devices weighing up to 40kg.
