The precise paint thickness gauge Steinberg Systems is able to measure from 0 to 1400 μm with an accuracy of ±2.5% + 1 μm. The device is adapted to work on both straight and curved surfaces. This is due to the V-shaped tip, which provides a minimum measuring area of 20 mm, 5 mm for convex surfaces and 25 mm for concave surfaces.
The tester has many functions, m.in test mode, measurement method or measurement unit (μm, mm, mil). The device also allows you to save up to 320 results, and thanks to the mini USB port to save them to the computer's disk. The meter is designed to work at temperatures from 0 to 50 ° C and air humidity of 20-90%.
Operation of the device is simple thanks to the convex buttons and the backlit LCD. The test can be carried out in two ways: pointwise or continuously. The first of them consists in applying the meter locally, and the second on dragging the tester on the tested surface. The spring-loaded sampler ensures safety during measurement, without the risk of scratching the paintwork. The end of the test is announced by an audible signal.
The set with the tester includes accessories necessary for its proper functioning. Among them are: USB cable, software CD and calibration boards. With the help of the latter, the user can independently ensure the precise operation of the meter. In addition , a comfortable suitcase will make it easier to transport the entire set.
The device is powered by two 1.5 V AAA batteries. A special system turns off the tester when not in use for 3 minutes, which allows you to extend the life of the battery
